I never thought about mamaliga as a Jewish food. And still, it can be – in Brazil.
A Brazilian lady has told me a bit about her family history…a family that has its roots in former Bassarabia and that, after 2 generations went back looking for its roots. Her brother has shoot a documentary that needs to be finished soon (through another trip to Moldova) titled “Mamaliga Blues”.
If you’re curious, as I was… when taking a break from geopolitics…world news or whatever else you’re doing… you may get on this website to check it out. And think that mamaliga is quite popular in places that you’d never thought about 🙂 Food for thought!
