Allison Fedirka is a senior analyst for Geopolitical Futures. She first started working with Dr. George Friedman at Stratfor in 2008 as a Latin America specialist and subsequently as the Latin America regional director. At Geopolitical Futures, she covers a broad range of topics, which have recently included how South America has avoided interstate war, the state elections in India, the staying power of North Korea's regime, the economic and political crisis in Venezuela, and Greece’s debt problem. Fedirka lived in South America—primarily Argentina and Brazil—for over seven years and in addition to English, fluently speaks both Spanish and Portuguese. She did her undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis and graduate work in International Relations and Affairs at the University of Belgrano.
